As a global authority on workplace culture, Great Place to Work® has been studying employee experience and people practices across organizations for over three decades. Every year, more than 10,000 organizations from over 60 countries partner with Great Place to Work® Institute for assessment, benchmarking, and planning of actions to strengthen their workplace culture.
In its 6th edition this year for India, the list has grown to Top 75 from Top 50 until last year. This is a result of the increase that the research has seen from organisations across sectors volunteering to be a part of this exclusive annual study. The rigorous methodology to assess workplace culture identify India’s Great Mid-size Workplaces 2022 is considered the gold standard globally. These organizations among other practices particularly excel both on people practices that they have crafted for their employees and proactively act on the feedback to create a High Trust Culture.

Workplaces of today have undergone a drastic change, where they’ve become a mix of physical and digital. Great Mid-size Workplaces are becoming more inclusive and collaborative. Employees at mid-size organizations who feel they have special and unique benefits in the organization are 2.7x times more likely to feel it’s a fun place to work. Efforts are also being made to establish credibility, display integrity, and provide career opportunities. On an average, the mid-size organizations are planning to add 35% more employees in next 12 months than their current employee count.
However, balancing between innovation and burnout will be the focus areas for the leaders. As employees return to the office, extraordinary leadership will be more important than ever to focus on meaningful initiatives. “Management involves people in decisions that affect their job or work environment” has seen an 8% increase over last year continuing a trend of stark improvement in this area over the last 2 years for all organizations in this category.
